Katie Fairbrother
Katie comes to Reddog as a registered architect having already had a variety of professional opportunities including 2 years training with the Architectural Practice Academy where she gained experience in many facets of the practice of architecture and running a small business.
The decision to be an architect came after making a futuristic house for a primary school project and from the many house shifts endured during childhood. This drives a particular interest in housing design where she enjoys finding creative solutions to a client’s project and family needs. She sees architecture holistically and strives to be mindful of the whole project from concept, construction through to occupation.
Katie has quickly achieved status as the resident extrovert and is easily recognised by her unique laugh. Away from the office, her time is spent with wider family on the Gold Coast and the responsibilities of being a parent to her primary school aged son. When the weather is fine, she can also be found attempting to surf in the shore break. She’s especially fond of an icy cold beer afterward too - or any time in between…
