CHAC Administration and Wellness
Drawing inspiration from the colours of the surrounds

In designing the Administration and Wellness Centre at CHAC, colour was considered as a fundamental part of the architectural language. The internal palette is structured around three guiding elements – earth, canopy and sky – creating a clear narrative across the building’s levels.

The upper floor draws on the tones of the sky, with lighter blues and warm golden hues suggesting sunrise and sunset above the tree line. Below, soft greens reference the canopy and its connection to filtered light, establishing a calm and restorative environment. At ground level, warm, earthy tones anchor the building, symbolising a sense of protection and guardianship for students as they enter.

These finishes extend consistently across walls, floors and ceilings, as well as fixed joinery and loose furniture, ensuring the colour story is experienced as a cohesive whole throughout the centre.
