Celebrating 25 years of Reddog
Twenty-five years ago, Reddog Architects began with a dream to enhance the experience of place, to create memorable spaces, and to contribute in a positive way to our communities. That dream has far exceeded all our expectations. Since 2001, we have had the privilege of working with so many inspiring, enthusiastic, and creative people including our clients, consultants, builders, suppliers, and the team. Every project has its own story and characters, and so often these narratives define a successful project and provide everlasting memories.
This milestone isn’t just ours to celebrate, it belongs to every person who has been part of the Reddog story.
How It All Began
Reddog Architects was established in 2001 with a dream to enhance the experience of place, to create memorable spaces and contribute positively to our communities. From simple beginnings as a home-based practice, to a shared office space in Zig Zag Street, to our neon-lit warehouse in Prospect Street, and now our breezy home in Gotha Street, Fortitude Valley, the practice has grown steadily and purposefully.
Reddog has never been about one individual. It has always been about a group of people working collaboratively to create memorable spaces and places that reflect the aspirations and dreams of our clients and respond respectfully to context and climate. The journey has presented many challenges, but Reddog has always remained flexible and resilient in its design approach. We have designed both small and large-scale projects, collaborating, challenging pre-existing views, and seeing opportunities and possibilities.
Twenty-five years on, that founding spirit hasn’t changed one bit. Our journey continues and we are more excited about the future than ever.
When Paul founded Reddog Architects in 2001, he didn’t just open a practice, he wanted to create a firm that put people, place, and planet first. Paul has spent 25 years proving that great architecture is about so much more than buildings.
