Architectural Graduate
Ayla Raymond-Roberts
Graduating from the University of Auckland in 2017, Ayla has an extensive portfolio of experience across New Zealand, and a growing portfolio across Queensland and New South Wales.
With a particular interest in the way we inhabit buildings , and further how we occupy the land, Ayla has developed a passion for designing with careful consideration around occupancy and efficiency of space. This way of architectural thinking has informed Ayla through her studies where she focused her thesis around small housing as an alternative housing practice in New Zealand. Her work on this concept saw her through completing her Master of Architecture with Honours, to be selected as one of twelve finalists country wide in the 2017 New Zealand Institute of Architects Student Design Awards and later as a speaker at the Architectural Designers New Zealand conference is 2018.
Outside of work, Ayla is likely to be found at the beach – either near or under the water, or getting her weekly dose of sports through social tennis, squash and soccer. She is a relatively new local to Brisbane and is keen to explore more of the country she now calls home.
