Everleigh State School, GLA Building
Nestled amidst new housing on former farmland, the school has a welcoming village feel. In designing the new two storey building, the intention is to retain the village feel but at the same time provide the school with the built environment to support the expected increase in student numbers as the population in the area increases. The building with accommodate 24 general learning spaces and a variety of breakout spaces. The design is an L-shaped plan which opens up a central green spine, connecting the main oval to the main building courtyard with views towards the South and West. The open ended courtyard increases the sense of space and improved connectivity.
