Heck House
Bunya
This project is conceived as a masterplan that balances the family’s current needs with future flexibility. At the heart of the brief is a strong desire to embrace the outdoors—connecting daily life to the pool, the rear garden views, and the wider landscape.
The design vision is for an open, modern, and climatically responsive home with seamless connections between indoor and outdoor living. The project was designed with sustainability in mind, capturing natural light and providing practical responses to site conditions, such as addressing driveway heat, managing leaf litter, and resolving roof waterproofing challenges.
Outdoor enjoyment is enhanced with the design including a fire pit, a landscape solution for the sloped eastern garden, and better integration of the pool.
The first part of the masterplan Stage focuses on revitalising the main house with planned works including a new kitchen with a generous butler’s pantry and the introduction of a north-facing outdoor living area that maximises light and connection to landscape.
