This 14-unit multi-residential building will be part of a master-planned community that includes commercial and retail space, residential aged care and retirement facilities and townhouses. These apartments are a boutique set of contemporary Specialist Disability Accommodation apartments designed with independence, safety and accessibility top of mind with high quality accessible fittings to support people living with high physical support needs.
The building has been designed in association with Ellivo Architects and has been designed to suit its context with a Queensland vernacular of wrap-around verandas and an large overhanging roof form. The recessed double storey foyer space provides a strong sense of arrival and will be well lit at night to achieve a lantern effect and street presence. The layers of operable and fixed screens add movement to the building façade and provide the opportunity for social engagement with the street whilst maintaining privacy for the occupants. All apartments focus on living areas opening to the exterior which allows for good cross ventilation and natural daylighting.
